Violeta is a 22 year old Mexican-American born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Smyrna, Georgia. A high school graduate from Campbell High School (Oh Yeah! C/O 2009) and senior at Kennesaw State University, Violeta is majoring in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Spanish.
Violeta learned about GLINC from Felipe Munive, GLINC's Executive Director, as they attend the same church (North River Church of Christ). She was attracted to GLINC's work with Latino youth and GLINC's connections to schools that were familiar with her teenage years. Violeta will take over all of GLINC's social media outlets, will help with fundraising events, publicity campaigns, promotional materials and will help with our upcoming GLINC "revamp" campaign.
Here are some fun facts about GLINC's newest addition:
Fun Fact: She is a leftie
Favorite Cake: Cheesecake
If she could eat lunch with anyone dead or alive it would be: a survivor from the "Titanic." They made a romance out of a crazy accident and I'd like to find out what really happened! Or Anne Frank, because it would be incredible to hear WWII stories face-to-face.
We are so excited to work with Violeta and we welcome her fresh ideas and energy! Welcome to the family!
