The topic of my blog post is "You are more beautiful than you think." This was the tagline in Dove's Real Beauty Campaign. All of our lives we struggle with self-image. When I was younger, I was very shy and critical of myself. I would get comments about my weight, teasing remarks about my ethnicity...all in all, my differences made me insecure. What I didn't realize is that these differences make me special and unique. It wasn't until I was able to appreciate my beauty and self-worth that the world opened up to me.
I was more confident, and it positively impacted all aspects of my life. Now that I was more outgoing, I met lots of new friends and even got more dates! These are all things that my shy, former self wouldn't let me do. I also found the courage to always strive for the stars, confident that I could accomplish anything I put my mind to - like getting a 4.0 in my Masters Program and starting a successful beauty blog!

This video was geared at women but can apply to both sexes. Men also have their insecurities and we all need a little help realizing how beautiful we are.
Out of this video I picked up some very important life lessons:
-Be aware and more grateful of your natural beauty - it impacts the relationships you have, the choices you make, the jobs you get, the friends you make, how you treat others...it couldn't be more critical to your happiness.
-We spend time analyzing and trying to fix the things that what we think isn't right and we should spend more time appreciating what we do like
Finally, "You are more beautiful than you think."
I hope you all take this message at heart. Spread this blog post and video to anyone who you think may benefit it. Together let's change our self-perceptions of ourselves to a more beautiful, happier future.
XOXO
